How Long and at What Temp to Bake Meatloaf
Here’s a loose recipe that works every time, because I’m lazy and you probably are too.
Start with 2 pounds of ground meat (beef, turkey, or a mix). Add 1 cup of breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers—shh, I won’t tell). Throw in 1 egg, 1/2 cup of milk, and some chopped onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Mix it all with your hands—yes, get messy. It’s the only way to bond with your dinner. Then shape it into a loaf, plop it in the pan, and smear a big layer of ketchup on top.
Bake at 350°F for 55 minutes, check the temp, and if it’s 160°F, you’ve just won the meatloaf lottery. Congrats, you’re basically a culinary genius.
