Doddington Hall & Gardens Main Street Doddington Lincoln
Let’s be honest: most of us don’t know our delphiniums from our daisies. But at Doddington’s gardens, you don’t need a horticulture degree to enjoy yourself. Just wander and breathe.
The walled garden is an absolute riot of colour. It’s like someone spilled a box of expensive watercolours and decided it looked better that way. Rows of lavender that smell like grandma’s best drawer. Roses climbing over arches like they’re trying to hug each other.
There’s a lovely, unpretentious café where you can buy a slice of cake the size of your head. Sit outside on mismatched benches, watch the bees argue over a flower, and forget that your phone exists for a whole forty minutes. Bliss.
