Places to Eat at Heathrow Terminal 5
Early flights are the worst. You’re groggy, your hair is a mess, and you’re wearing shoes you don’t remember putting on. But breakfast at Terminal 5 is a lifesaver. Pret a Manger is reliable, but Gail’s Bakery is the winner. Their croissants are flaky, buttery, and practically sing when you bite into them.
If you want something hot, Wetherspoon (yes, the budget chain) does a surprisingly decent full English breakfast. It comes with a mug of tea so big you could wash your face in it. It’s £8, and it’ll fuel you until you land in New York. Or at least until you fall asleep over your in-flight movie.
