How the Pyramids Are Built
Think you know everything? Bakers baked bread for the workers on-site. The bakery for the pyramid site was the size of a city block. They fed thousands of men daily—a massive ancient catering operation.
Also, the workers were not slaves. Well, not the Hollywood version. Most were paid farmers who worked during the Nile flood season. They got beer, bread, and even medical care. The real slavery was later myths.
One mummy found near the pyramids had healed broken bones. That means they had good healthcare. A broken leg wasn't a death sentence. That’s wild for 2500 BC.
There are even graffiti left by the builders. One group called themselves the “Friends of Khufu.” Another was the “Drunkards of Menkaure.” Team names for the afterlife.
