The US team started off strong, winning their first two games against Colombia and the Dominican Republic. But, things got a little hairy when they faced off against Venezuela, and lost 5-3. Don't worry, though, they rebounded quickly, and went on to win their next two games, securing a spot in the finals.

In the semifinals, the US faced off against Japan, and it was a real nail-biter! The US was down by two runs in the bottom of the 8th, but they managed to score three runs and take the lead. And, in the finals, they played against Puerto Rico, and won 8-0, with Marcus Stroman pitching a shutout game.
