Can I Put a Gift Card on Paypal

話題沸騰中の Can I Put a Gift Card on Paypalについて、多角的な視点を整理して公開しています。

PayPal has a ninja-like ability to detect “card testing” or fraud attempts. If you try to add a gift card that’s expired, or if the address doesn’t match, they’ll block it immediately. Also: Gift cards often have a “no reload” policy. You can’t top them up, so once the balance hits zero, that card is dead. Don’t try to add a second one to the same PayPal wallet—it’s a one-and-done deal for most.

What About PayPal’s Own Gift Cards?

Ironic twist: You can buy a PayPal gift card at some stores. But that’s like asking a fish if it can swim. Of course it works. You just redeem the code from that card directly in your PayPal account. Pro tip: If you have a generic Visa gift card, you can often use it to buy a PayPal e-gift card online. It’s a gift card inception. Just make sure the site you’re using accepts your store card as payment.
