Pitcher filters (Brita, Pur) are great for taste, but they don’t remove all contaminants. They won’t touch viruses or bacteria, and they’re usually weak on fluoride removal.
If you’re using a filter, make sure it’s certified to reduce lead and cysts. Change the filter on time—otherwise, you’re just drinking old dust water. And yes, you should still boil it if your baby’s under 3 months or you’re in a super rural area.
