Wow Forever Beta Review
My laptop is basically a toaster from 2016. It whirs like a dying vacuum cleaner when I open Chrome. Miraculously, Wow Forever Beta runs smoothly on medium settings. I’ve had exactly one crash, and it was because I alt-tabbed to watch a cat video. Fair trade.
The sound design is chef’s kiss. Every time you pick up a mushroom, it makes a boing noise. Your footsteps change based on the ground—crunchy for leaves, squishy for mud. It’s those little details that make you smile for no reason.
The Grind: Is it boring? A little, but in a good way.
Yes, you have to kill 10 giant rats. But those rats? They wear tiny top hats and monocles. One of them challenged me to a duel of wits before we fought. I answered its riddle wrong, and it laughed at me. Then I punched it. I felt bad for five seconds.
The crafting system is surprisingly deep. You can combine random items to make “junk” that sometimes turns into legendary gear. I created a “Suspiciously Warm Sock” that gave me +5 agility. I’m not questioning it.
