How to Cut a Grapefruit into Slices
Stand the grapefruit up on its flat bottom. Using your sharp knife, cut downwards, following the curve of the fruit to remove the peel and all that white pith. Go deep enough to see the flesh—you want to lose the bitter stuff. Don’t be shy; strip it bare.
You’ll end up with a naked, bright yellow or pink orb. It’ll look almost alien in its perfection. Admire it for a second. You just did the hard part.
