Imagine you’re walking backward while blowing up a balloon. You’re going in the wrong direction on the x-axis, but you’re still climbing upward on the y-axis. It’s a bit contradictory.
In real life, this might be “hours spent procrastinating” vs. “stress level.” The more you avoid work (negative x), the higher your stress goes (positive y). Classic self-sabotage.
