How to Help Horse Fly Bites
Sometimes, home stuff isn’t enough. That’s totally fine. Go grab a tube of hydrocortisone cream (1% is perfect) at any drugstore. Use it two or three times a day. It’s the fire extinguisher for the itch. If the bite is swollen like a golf ball, an antihistamine pill like Benadryl can help from the inside out—just check with a doctor first if you’re on other meds.
Do not use alcohol or nail polish remover—I’ve seen people try it. That just burns and dries your skin, making it crack and get worse. Treat your skin like a friend, not a science experiment.
