Bbc Viewers Criticized Celebrity Mastermind Episode as the Worst Ever

The show had a simple job. Get celebrities, ask questions, watch them squirm. Instead, it gave us a spectacular train wreck.
One contestant, a comedian, blanked on every single answer. It was painful to watch. You could feel the cringe through your TV.
Another celebrity answered a question about their own job incorrectly. That’s a special kind of genius. The audience groaned so loud, my cat hid under the sofa.
The Host’s Struggle
Clive Myrie, the host, looked haunted. He usually has a gentle, encouraging smile. On this night, his face said, “Please, someone, throw me a life raft.”
He tried to be nice. He prompted, he smiled, he pleaded with his eyes. Nothing worked. The silence was louder than any wrong answer.
At one point, a contestant gave a reply so bizarre. It was nonsense. Clive just blinked and said, “No… that’s not correct.” The Internet died laughing.
