How Animal and Plant Cells Are Different
Animal cells have lysosomes. These are little bags of acid that act like the cell’s trash compactor and recycling plant. They eat old parts and germs. It’s messy and violent. Plant cells usually don’t have lysosomes. Instead, they use their giant vacuole to do the recycling. It’s like they hired one giant janitor instead of a squad of tiny ones. Efficiency.
Also: plant cells can make their own food. Animal cells have to hunt for theirs. So if you ever feel lazy for ordering takeout, remember—your cells are literally designed to be moochers. Plants are the only ones earning their keep.
